Child care and development is one of the most ongoing and complex topics to look into. From the very beginning, children are being shaped and influenced by psychological, social, and biological factors. Beginning as an infant with little to no cognition, social, or emotional skills, we begin to develop these based on our own experiences and perceptions of the world around us as we grow up. There are many factors that play a role into this, such as, teachers and schools, peers, or even healthcare providers. However, studies have proven that parents are the people who will have the most significant impact on their child’s development. In most cases, they are the ones who will spend the most time with the child while guiding them through early learning. At such a young age, the child’s mind is retaining these early experiences, shaping brain development, behavioral patterns, and long term outcomes and effects.

Knowing this, I wanted to approach my project in a way that others may be able to learn from and apply to their own lives. By going into depth on how children develop and respond to different ways of learning and growing, my hope is that someone struggling may be able to read through this and have a more organized and positive mindset on how to interact with their child. While this information can help anyone and everyone who might want a better understanding, I feel it will be most useful and directed towards parents needing tips or guidance along their journey.
